As the saying goes. “Knowing one’s enemy before going to the battlefield is half victory”

Quoting Allah’s word from the Holy Quran

“O you who believe, save yourselves and your families from a fire, the fuel of which is human beings and stones, appointed on which are angels, stern and severe, who do not disobey Allah in what He orders them, and do whatever they are ordered to do.”

– Surat-ul Tahrim v.6 (Q.66 /v.6)

The Journey of Shaytan’s Enmity

When Allah commanded Iblees (the Shaytan ), he refused to prostrate to Adam. However, Allah expelled him from heaven and cursed him. As He (SWT) said in the Quran

“Then get out from here; for verily, you are outcast.

And verily, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense”

– Saad  Q 38:77-78

Amazing as it sounds, Shaytan then asked Allah (SWT) to reprieve him until the Last Day. As He (Allah) told us in the Holy Book.

“(Iblees) said: ‘Allow me respite till the Day they are raised (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).’

(Allaah) said: ‘You are of those respited’”

Al-A’raaf 7:14-15

If you paused to think about this, you should notice:

(1) That Allah is the most beneficial

(2) Shaytan has his hidden agenda

(3) Shaytan don’t see what he does as wrong, so he never blames himself.

Instead, he sums up a deep desire to astray everyone.

As Allah said in Surat-al-A’raaf Q:7:16-17 “(Iblees) said: ‘Because You have sent me astray, surely, I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your straight path.

Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and they are left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You)’”

That’s been said, you should by now see how desperate Shaytan’s dangerous hostility on us.

Apart from that, there are some specific lessons you should take out of this.

Don’t Blame Anyone For Your Mistakes And Learn to Seek Repentance Faster

Remember when I said knowing once an enemy is a half battle win.

Here’s the deal, whenever you did something wrong.

1. Don’t wait to repent.

2. Don’t blame someone else for your failure.

3. Likewise, when you did wrong don’t push the punishment on to others.

But keep in mind. Shaytan’s will never let you achieve any of the aforementioned, he would give you advice that there is still time. ” soft sounds beat into your heart, saying tomorrow is near, repent when it comes“.

The truth is, to Shaytan’s your tomorrow will never come, and when it comes it’s the Day of Judgement.

So, if you want to survive the Shaytan’s hostility, you must. (1)Master your mind and (2) get in control.

Don’t allow Shaytan to take control of your mindset.
