Indian-Kashmir Ban Animal Slaughtering on Eid ul-Adha

How shocking! Authorities in Indian-controlled Kashmir have banned Muslims from Slaughtering animals during the Eid al-Adha holiday 2021.

However, the ruling that bans the slaughtering of animals in Kashmir is likely to strike anti-India anger in the area.

The ruling was passed on Thursday as reported that “illegal killing/sacrifices of cows/calves, camels & other animals must be stopped, citing animal welfare laws.”

Most importantly, Muslims celebrate the festival path of their religion by slaughtering animals on Eid ul-Adha. Animals like goats, sheep, cows or camels, are slaughtered to perform the Iba’dah which originated from Prophet Ibrahim’s test of faith.

Similarly, the meat collected from the animals sacrificed is then shared in n three categories as it is shared among family and friends and also given to poor people who cannot afford to sacrifice animals.

Whereas, this year’s Eid ul-Adha holiday is to be celebrated on July 21-23 in Kashmir in India.
