Where Should A Muslim Take His Creed And Faith?

With the world jam-packed with zealous beliefs, to be safe from Shaytaan, however, where should a Muslim take his creed and faith?

Let me first explain what is belief.

Belive is anything someone thinks is true or false, for example, if a person thinks and affirm the people can kill others without acceptance from Allah.

That is the person’s belief, faith and creed, based on killing and death.

To give a little answer, as a Muslim you should believe that no one is capable to kill or cause someone’s death without the acceptance of Allah.

That’s one example.

So where should a Muslim take his creed and faith so he can know what to believe among millions of creed in the world?

The short answer is that a Muslim should never take any belief (especially regarding religion) from anyone (no matter the person’s rank or status) except Allah and his prophet, and that creed must be in accordance with the understanding of the Syahyaabah.

As a Sholar said, The Muslim takes his creed and faith from the Book of Allah (The Quran) and the authentic Sunnah of His Prophet (PBUH), who does not speak of his own desire, rather, as Allah says ‘It is the only revelation revealed’ Q53:V4.

From: Tefseer Ushri li Akir

If you understand that, you should know now that a Muslim should not take his belief or faith from anywhere except the Quran and the correct Hadith of the prophet (PBUH). And such creed must also align with that of the Syahyaabah.

Likewise, it is worth pointing out that whatever creed you come across, after checking the Holy Qur’an and Hadith Muslim must confirm the true meaning of the verses and hadith with the understandings of the Syahayaaba.

Because they are the set of people the Prophet (PBUH) explained all the Islam creed to.

However, if a Muslim is asked where should he take his creed and faith, the person’s answer should be. Muslim should take his creed and faith from the Holy Qur’an, Hadith while the understanding of the creed has to align with that of the Syahayaaba.

The Holy Qur’an and Hadith must be understood according to the understanding of the companions (Syahyaabah), and the righteous predecessors.

In conclusion, even if the world is full of different creeds regarding religion. However, a Muslim should be clear that there is no other place to take his belief and faith, other than the Holy Qur’an and Hadith while aligning the understanding to that of the companions of the prophet.

That been said, Muslims should now be able to live their life to the fullest and withstand any setbacks, and the tricks of Shaytaan.
