Brief Story of Eid ul-Adha: What is The Festival All About?

For a strong friendship to build up in the Muslim community, Muslims have to meet and rejoice with each other.

Maybe that one of the reasons why Allah have tested prophet Ibraheem (AS).

What is Eid ul-Adha?

How Muslims Celebrate Eid?

Muslims sacrifice a sheep or goat. Also, meat is shared equally between family, friends and the poor.

Eid usually starts with Muslims going to the Mosque for prayers. Then, dress in the best clothes. And thank Allah for all the blessings He has placed on us.

It is the time when Muslims visit family and friends. And will also give money to charity so that poor person can also celebrate.

Eid ul-Adha is celebrated on the last day of the Hajj. The Hajj is the pilgrimage to Makkah. It takes place every year and is the Fifth Pillar of Islam.

During the Hajj the pilgrims perform acts of worship and renew their faith in Allah (SWT). They also stand before the Kaaba, a shrine built by Prophet Ibraheem, and they praise Allah together.

Most importantly, the Kaaba is the most asset in Islam.

Pilgrims walk around the Kaaba seven times.
